The door remains locked during this time. The door lock led light will blink. This is a guide about unlocking the door on a maytag front load washer. Front loaders have a locking mechanism to avoid opening the door during a washing cycle but occasionally this lock will be activated accidentally.

If f8 e1 or lf too long to fill appears in the display the washer is taking too long to fill or the washer is filling and draining. During this period you will be able to hear the pump running. First it had a code blinking that i looked up and it was for the water so i turned it on and now it is making a humming noise and the door is locked and that is all it will do. The door should unlock after 60 seconds.

Did you receive an lf or f8e1 error code or is the spin or wash light blinking. After 8 minutes the door will unlock. While this option is on the fan blows and the load is tumbled periodically for up to 12 hours. Nothing else will appear to be happening with the machine during this time.

Fresh hold option is on. The door lock light is blinking on my front load maytag maxima. This is all it will do. Select drain spin to remove any water remaining in the washer.

This happened when i forgot to turn the water on. It s possible the drain hose extends more than 4 5 114 mm into the standpipe. The washer door will unlock at the end of the drain. 1 unplug the washer for 10 minutes and this may reset the washer and clear the flashing light.

The washer will go into a hold and drain routine for 8 minutes. The door may immediately unlock.
